How do you guys save money? Yes, I’m talking to the readers out there.
Do you bottle up spare change? Bring your lunch? Put away a certain amount each week?
I was just wondering what other people do out there to help them save. We all have different ways and ideas and I thought it would be nice to share.
Let’s see….
6% is going to my 401k of which the company matches the first 3
5% goes to the company’s Employee Stock Purchase Program….this is more of a guaranteed 15% return on the money that I put in and gets cashed out every 6 months
$333.33 goes to my Roth IRA every month for this year, and will get bumped up to the max for next year
Lump sum contribution to my wife’s Roth IRA each year
When we get a substantial amount in the checking account, we transfer money out to our account with Fidelity
